The aim of the Brazilian Symposium on Neglected Diseases is to be an inclusive event, with the goal of giving back to society a portion of what it funds. In this edition, we will simultaneously host the 5th Brazilian Symposium on Neglected Diseases and the 1st World Symposium on Neglected Diseases. Therefore, registration will ensure the issuance of a certificate of participation and/or presentation at both the national and international events.
In addition to a program featuring the participation of researchers of high scientific reputation presenting updated work for a demanding academic audience, the event also includes workshops, short courses, and workshops aimed at meeting the demands of society. With this, we intend to effectively improve the quality of life and health of our population.
The registration fees for participants abroad will be used exclusively to cover the operational costs of the platform and simultaneous translation.

Como parte da programação do VI Simpósio Brasileiro de Doenças Negligenciadas (VI SBDN) e do II World Symposium on Neglected Diseases (II WSND), será realizado um Ideathon com o objetivo de promover a construção colaborativa de ideias voltadas à discussão e ao enfrentamento de desafios associados às Doenças Negligenciadas.
O Ideathon é uma atividade que reúne participantes de diferentes formações para refletir sobre questões centrais das Doenças Negligenciadas e propor soluções conceituais, contextualizadas e socialmente relevantes. A iniciativa busca ampliar o diálogo entre pesquisadores, profissionais da saúde, gestores públicos, educadores e demais atores interessados, fortalecendo abordagens interdisciplinares e contribuindo para a reflexão qualificada sobre temas que impactam a saúde pública e as políticas sociais.
Durante o Ideathon, os participantes trabalharão em equipe a partir de desafios definidos, passando por etapas de imersão, discussão e síntese de ideias que serão compartilhadas com a comunidade do simpósio. A atividade integra o compromisso do evento em incentivar a participação ativa, o pensamento crítico e a construção de conhecimento coletivo para enfrentar os desafios das Doenças Negligenciadas no Brasil e no mundo.
